Accidental Meetings takeover w/ Elijah Minnelli, I-sha, James Massiah & Lord Tusk, and ojoo
Brussels-based DJ with Moroccan roots “spinning from old-school dancehall to its most futuristic and distorted mutations” (Resident Advisor).
ojoo (MO) – formerly known in capitals as OJOO GYAL – was born and bred in Morocco and now lives in Brussels. Her sets oscillate between old-school dancehall and futuristic blends of dub, reggaeton, dembow, grime and the odd bit of illbient and musique concrète.
Her exploits include a mixtape on Accidental Meetings and DJ sets at Fuse, Horst, Dekmantel and BRDCST.
“Pushing the boundaries of experimental, dub, jazz and techno” (Kiosk Radio)
Accidental Meetings emerged in Brighton during lockdown, with cassette-only mix releases, and quickly coalesced into a DJ collective, label (with an in-house graphic designer, like any label worth its salt) and promoter of popular club nights.
Their signature sound was described by Kiosk Radio as “pushing the boundaries of experimental, dub, jazz and techno”. We became megafans in 2024 when Accidental Meetings took over the turntables at our adventurous indoor festival BRDCST and delivered an amazing night. Now they’re back for a live DJ takeover.
