Brand-new dub hero with a signature sound of calypso & cumbia blended with reggae and left-field dub.

Our newest dub hero is known as Elijah Minnelli (UK). As profound dub lovers, we’re excited to finally see another young artist with a signature sound take centre stage. His style is an eclectic mix of vintage calypso, mento, cumbia and beguine, with a dash of left-field dub and reggae.

Last year, Elijah Minnelli released his debut album (and chef d’oeuvre) Perpetual Musket. The Guardian dubbed it “A brilliant collection of traditional folk covers through the lens of dub reggae. The splicing of genres feels seamless, joyful and briskly contemporary”.

The album quickly earned a place on the list of the “10 best folk albums of 2024”, alongside fellow Feeërieën favourite merope

Pushing the boundaries of experimental, dub, jazz and techno” (Kiosk Radio)

Accidental Meetings emerged in Brighton during lockdown, with cassette-only mix releases, and quickly coalesced into a DJ collective, label (with an in-house graphic designer, like any label worth its salt) and promoter of popular club nights.

Their signature sound was described by Kiosk Radio as “pushing the boundaries of experimental, dub, jazz and techno”. We became megafans in 2024 when Accidental Meetings took over the turntables at our adventurous indoor festival BRDCST and delivered an amazing night. Now they’re back for a live DJ takeover.
