Accidental Meetings takeover w/ Elijah Minnelli, I-sha, James Massiah & Lord Tusk, and ojoo
Accidental Meetings resident “warping through dubwise pressure and scuzzy textural realms merged with experimental electronics”.
i-sha (UK) – lower case please – is the resident DJ at the regular club nights run by Accidental Meetings in her hometown of Bristol. There’s no way to listen to her DJ sets on Soundcloud without feeling something. Her mix for FACT Mag – listen to it here – is the perfect example: “warping through dubwise pressure & scuzzy textural realms merged with experimental electronics & off-kilter club tracks.”
If you want to delve deeper into her world of sound, check out her show The Secret Shade on Noods Radio: “a steady trip through weirdo jazz, tripped out percussion and some rattling dubby bits.”
Bring it on, i-sha!
“Pushing the boundaries of experimental, dub, jazz and techno” (Kiosk Radio)
Accidental Meetings emerged in Brighton during lockdown, with cassette-only mix releases, and quickly coalesced into a DJ collective, label (with an in-house graphic designer, like any label worth its salt) and promoter of popular club nights.
Their signature sound was described by Kiosk Radio as “pushing the boundaries of experimental, dub, jazz and techno”. We became megafans in 2024 when Accidental Meetings took over the turntables at our adventurous indoor festival BRDCST and delivered an amazing night. Now they’re back for a live DJ takeover.
