Borokov Borokov
Elmer curates three inspiring acts on Wednesday, one of which is Borokov Borokov. She says: "Many people don't know this about me, but I was abandoned as a baby. I don't know who my biological parents are. Fortunately, Borokov Borokov found me as a screaming baby on the street in 1995, took me in, and raised me until I was sixteen. I had a terrible childhood."
Borokov Borokov's journey began with a lost drum machine found at a landfill in Borsbeek. Since then, the band has embraced experimentation, exploring various genres with no guarantee of success. Their sound ranges from angular synth-pop to krautrock, electro-punk, acid house, and beyond. Their music defies categorization, but as Borokov Borokov puts it: "We make music we want to dance to ourselves, even when it doesn't sound like dance music at first."
