Brusselse dj ontpopt zich tot sjamaan met deconstructed club sounds, field recordings en hypnotiserende gongs

De Brusselse dj/artieste Maria Green werd geboren in Lusaka (Zambia) en heeft zowel Zambiaanse als Angolese roots. Nadat ze in 1998 op vierjarige leeftijd naar België verhuisde, begon ze haar Afro-Europese culturele erfgoed volop te exploreren. Dat weerklinkt in haar afrofuturistische dj-sets vol jungle, UK bass en garage. 

Enter 2025: tijd voor een nieuw facet van haar creatieve output, waarin M I M I (BE) zich ontpopt tot een moderne sjamaan. Haar hybride liveset is in wezen een meditatief gebeuren vol deconstructed club sounds, field recordings en hypnotiserende gongs. Zeg maar: een collectieve healing.
